Cinderlands launched a new brand with a product set to sweeten up the baseball season. The brewery announced Cindi’s Hard Mountain Tea, an uncarbonated beverage described in a release as a combination of "real iced tea and natural lemon flavor in a malt beverage poised to make this summer in Pittsburgh especially tasty." Cindy's will debut on Fri., April 7 in celebration of the Pittsburgh Pirates Opening Day at PNC Park. On that day, game fans will find Cinderlands reps handing out samples outside of Mike’s Beer Bar at the corner of 110 Federal Street across from the Willie Stargell Gate and inside the ballpark at the Cinderlands Corner Bar at the bottom of the left-field rotunda.

Pedal Pale Keg Ride

Gear up for the Keg Ride at East End Brewing. On Sat., April 15, the brewery will herald the upcoming Three Rivers Beer Week, as well as the spring bicycling season with a Keg Ride that will deliver Pedal Pale Ale to a yet unnamed location. Tickets cost $30 and proceeds will benefit the Steel City Cyclers nonprofit.

Sip into spring with a showcase of new beers at Old Thunder Brewing. On Sat., April 15 from 12-10 p.m., Old Thunder will host Pouring into Spring, a look at pale and amber lagers from local and statewide breweries. Swing by and check out the new brews, along with food by Stuntpig and The Steer and Wheel.

Commonplace Coffee recently announced the return of Coffee & Cars, a monthly event series described as celebrating "the intersection of community, coffee, and cars in Pittsburgh." Kicked off on April 1, the series, which is co-hosted by Obscure Cars Daily, welcomes guests to the coffee chain's new Point Breeze location from now through November for free coffee, food trucks, and fun with fellow car, truck, and motorcycle enthusiasts.

GetGo Café + Market wants to help alleviate your Sunday scaries with a new deal. The Giant Eagle chain announced that, as of April 3, customers can take advantage of Free Coffee Mondays at all GetGo locations. For a limited time, guests will get a free GetGo self-serve coffee with their Advantage Card every Monday, with no purchase necessary. A release says the promotion applies to any of GetGo’s hot- and iced-coffee varieties, as well as the new nitro and cold-brew products. Guests must scan their Advantage Card or myPerks card to receive the promotion and are limited to one free coffee each Monday.

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy x Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream

A local nonprofit and an ice cream company teamed up on an eco-friendly treat. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and Millie’s launched Out of this World, an ice cream flavor described in a release as celebrating Earth Month while also raising money to benefit youth educational programming at the Conservancy's Frick Environmental Center."  The blue and green earth-patterned vanilla cake ice cream is touted as being made with 100% local dairy and all-natural, plant-based dyes and will be available throughout the month of April, or while supplies last, at select Millie’s Scoop Shops, Giant Eagle Market Districts, and other wholesale partners.


PAAR x 11th Hour Brewing

Pittsburgh Action Against Rape created a beer with 11th Hour Brewing as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. All throughout April, beer fans can find Monarch Pale Ale at 11th Hour's Lawrenceville location, and at various participating area restaurants. The release also marks the launch of PAAR’S Project Last Call program, described in a release as a service industry training program to "identify and reduce sexual violence, teach intervention techniques, provide resources, and to create a safe environment for staff and guests."
