Last chance to vote for artwork in the Sprout Fund's 'Belonging' community art project

Today is the final day to vote for your favorite design in the Sprout Fund's "Belonging," a community art project in support of immigrants and refugees. Allegheny County residents were invited to submit a design that showed Pittsburgh welcoming new friends and neighbors in hopes of having their artwork made into posters and yard signs to be distributed free to the community.

Among the 42 finalists deserving a shout out are some friends of Pittsburgh City Paper.

David Pohl
, who illustrated our recent Red Riding Hood cover for our story on a local young woman being treated unfairly in the court system, has a rad design of a globe resting comfortably between an arch of one of our famous yellow bridges.

Jeff Brunner
, another City Paper cover artist who I interviewed here, brought his playful style into a collage of colorful people and creatures coming together in a fun mix that includes a Port Authority bus, pierogies and a Pirates cap.

And finally, one of City Paper's own graphic designers, Jeff Schreckengost, has submitted a new take on Pittsburgh's skyline, mixing PPG Place and Fifth Avenue Place with worldly buildings like the Eiffel Tower.

While you're voting, don't miss checking out the 27 talented youth finalists under the age of 18. I think I might be spotting some future City Paper cover artists in the mix!

You can vote here until tonight at 11:59 p.m.
